Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing set-piece specialist Hakan Calhangolu from Bayer Leverkusen, but the attacking midfielder is keen to stay with the Bundesliga club.
The Turkish international has scored 21 goals in his two seasons at the BayArena, following a move from Hamburg, and has a reputation for the spectacular given his ability at set-pieces.
His agent, Bektas Demirtas, has revealed Tottenham's interest but insisted Calhanoglu is keen to stay with Bayer following a positive meeting with manager Roger Schmidt.
'It is true that Tottenham have registered their interest with me,' Demirtas told Express.
