Tottenham have been called on to explain its reasoning for placing non-playing staff members on furlough by its supporters trust.
The club are one the Premier League teams to have made use of the government job retention scheme, with 40 per cent of its workers being furloughed as football continues to become impacted by the coronavirus.
But the north London side have faced stiff pressure to reverse their decision, with the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust leading the cries for them to 'reconsider'. Now the THST has asked the club to 'make a case' for putting staff on furlough
'We are asking for the Club to make the case for needing to use the furlough scheme public,' it said in a statement.
