Tottenham have failed in a fresh move to persuade Brendan Rodgers to become the club’s next manager.
Julian Nagelsmann and Rodgers were Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s preferred two candidates to replace Jose Mourinho, who was sacked last week.
But German coach Nagelsmann was confirmed as Bayern Munich’s next manager on Tuesday morning ruling him out the running.
Rodgers is known to have reservations about becoming Tottenham’s next boss something Levy is said to be aware of.
But Sportsmail understands that new overtures have been made over the past 48 hours with regards to gauging whether Rodgers would be interested in taking the job.
