Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven to undergo hamstring scan in the 24 hours... amid fears he could be ruled out for MONTHS after pulling up in agony during his side's 4-1 defeat by Chelsea

Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven's injured hamstring will be scanned over the next 24 hours amid fears he will miss months of the season.

The centre back worryingly pulled up in agony during the first half of Monday night's chaotic 4-1 defeat to London rivals Chelsea.

Van de Ven was carried off the field and left the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on crutches raising concerns the Holland international faces a long spell on the sidelines.

As is routine with muscular injuries, definitive assessments are not generally made until 48 to 72 hours after the blow was suffered.
