Tottenham defender Matt Doherty is 'ruled out for the rest of the SEASON' after suffering a knee injury in win over Aston Villa... with the full-back 'facing up to 12 weeks out' in a huge blow to Antonio Conte amid top-four pursuit

Tottenham full-back Matt Doherty is set to miss the rest of the season after picking up a knee injury in their 4-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday, dealing a huge blow to Antonio Conte and his side's pursuit of a top-four finish.

The 30-year-old has become a key player to Spurs in recent weeks after filling in on both flanks, contributing two goals and two assists in five Premier League matches.

He looked set to continue his impressive run in the team but that appears to have come to an abrupt end with football.
