Shaktar Donetsk CEO Sergei Palkin has sent out a defiant message from Ukraine, calling for the support of UEFA and Europe's top clubs amidst Russia's invasion.
Palkin put out an emotional statement on Sunday afternoon asking for 'maximum support' from teams and fans across Europe, as his club look to find ways out of the country for their foreign players.
The Ukrainian Premier League club have dealt with the impact of war since 2014, when they were forced to move to the Arena Lviv following conflict in Donbas.
In an impassioned statement, Palkin said: 'The country is at war.
