Thierry Henry's shock appointment as Belgium's new assistant surprised the football world, save for a small group of men leading the way in the development of the best young managers in Europe.

Not content with seeing Gareth Bale and Co reach the semi-finals of Euro 2016 this summer, the Football Association of Wales have also been responsible for bringing through the next generation of young bosses with Henry the latest managerial hopeful to have graduated from their programme.

The Arsenal legend has joined a stellar cast list of names to have recently earned their badges at the course run in partnership with the Welsh Football Trust, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City No 2 Mikel Arteta and New York City FC boss Patrick Vieira also among those to have gained their first managerial experiences and passed their UEFA qualifications at the Dragon Park centre in Newport.
