The RFU have prematurely ended all rugby in England at all levels – aside from the Premiership – in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
In a letter to all clubs in England, Bill Sweeney the RFU CEO, confirmed the move as there is no prospect of a return to action soon.
As of now the top flight is still only suspended for four weeks, but that will be urgently reviewed.
The move is likely to cause chaos in all leagues below the Premiership, with it uncertain how leagues will be finished.
