The Premier League have named Gary Hoffman as their new chairman - two years after Richard Scudamore left the role.
Hoffman was appointed following a unanimous vote of the 20 top flight clubs and will get to work during a difficult period where the organisation is attempting to get the domestic season back underway amid the coronavirus crisis.
On Thursday Sportsmail revealed that the 59-year-old banker was put forward to join the executive team at a crucial time with English football plunged into financial uncertainty by the pandemic.
