Swansea City fear record signing Borja Baston will not be able to make his long-awaited debut for another three weeks because of a thigh injury.
Francesco Guidolin confirmed the £15m Spanish striker "may be" out until after international break so could return against Chelsea on 11 September.
"I am not sure when he will be back but maybe after the international break," Swansea manager Guidolin said.
Jack Cork will captain the Swansea in Saturday's home game with Hull.
Leon Britton, who skippered Swansea to victory in their Premier League opener at Burnley, is a fitness doubt for the visit of the top-flight new boys on Saturday.
