Swansea City will wrap up the double signing of Tom Carroll and Martin Olsson on Tuesday in their bid to deal their way out of relegation trouble.
Carroll, 24, has agreed terms on a permanent switch away from Tottenham after first joining the club’s academy in 2008. He will cost an initial £4million and returns to the Liberty Stadium after a loan spell in the 2014-15 season.
The midfielder was a similar case to Luciano Narsingh, who was on a shortlist that pre-dated Paul Clement’s arrival as manager but whose transfer was given the green light by the new boss.
