Renato Sanches returned to Swansea on Tuesday after recovering from a serious hamstring problem that has kept him out of action since January.
The on-loan midfielder, who has made 15 appearances for Carlos Carvalhal's struggling side this season, has been back at parent club Bayern Munich undergoing rehabilitation.
But he was back at the Premier League club's Fairwood base on Tuesday, where he will be assessed by medical staff ahead of a return to first-team action.
His impending comeback is a welcome boost for Carvalhal's side in their bid to avoid relegation to the Championship.
