The Portuguese manager was unable to keep the Swans in the Premier League, and as a result, the club have decided not to keep his in the dugout
Swansea City have confirmed that they will not be extending manager Carlos Carvalhal's contract at the Liberty Stadium.
The Portuguese took charge of the Swans in December following the sacking of Paul Clement, but will not stay on as manager following their relegation from the Premier League.
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins praised Carvalhal for the work he had done for the club, but is now seeking a new direction as they look to win promotion from the Championship next season.
