Wilfried Bony has been ruled out of Swansea City’s game against Reading in Saturday’s Championship encounter.
The forward has not featured for the Swans since they relegated from the Premier League in May owing to a Knee Ligament Injury that ended his 2017-18 season abruptly.
Last term, before sustaining the injury, the former Manchester City player scored two goals in 15 league appearances.
And despite returning to training, the club’s boss Graham Potter has confirmed that the 29-year-old will not play a part when they face the Royals at the Liberty Stadium.
“Wilf has trained today and he is also making really good progress, but again this game is a bit too soon for him," Potter said in a pre-match conference.
