Swansea City are close to finalising their move to appoint Paul Clement as manager, with the Welsh club hopeful that he will be in place for Tuesday’s relegation showdown at Crystal Palace.
It is understood that a deal has been agreed in principle to recruit the Bayern Munich assistant manager, who has been in a race with former Birmingham boss Gary Rowett to land the post.
Club sources are confident the move will go ahead, which would give the crisis club a shot in the arm after falling to their fourth straight heavy defeat against Bournemouth on Saturday.
