New Sunderland signings Mika Domingues and Jason Denayer could be involved against Everton on Monday.
Didier Ndong and Victor Anichebe won't feature but Jan Kirchhoff, Jordan Pickford and John O'Shea are all fit.
Everton forward Enner Valencia could make his debut, while Seamus Coleman is available after an ankle injury.
Darron Gibson and Tom Cleverley are also expected to be fit but James McCarthy is a definite absentee after undergoing groin surgery.
