Brighton and Stoke had to settle for a share of the spoils at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday.

Jose Izquierdo opened the scoring for Chris Hughton's side in the first half but Xherdan Shaqiri cancelled it out with a left-footed curling strike in the second half.

Charlie Adam missed a late penalty for Stoke as Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan saved his effort from 12 yards.

The draw leaves Brighton in 13th and Paul Lambert's side in 18th in the league standings.
