Newcastle head coach Steve Bruce has insisted he is not 'bullet-proof' as he attempts to prevent the club's season spiralling out of control.
The Magpies head for Everton on Saturday having won none of their last nine Premier League games and lost the last five, but with owner Mike Ashley ready to give the 60-year-old more time.
Asked if he was bullet-proof, Bruce replied: 'I wouldn't expect to be bullet-proof, no.'
Asked further if he had been given assurances over his future, he replied: 'No, I don't need any assurances.
