Nathan Jones has insisted that he was not shifting the blame on to anyone else for Southampton's poor form during his bizarre press conference monologue.
The Southampton boss made a series of claims during his side's 3-0 defeat to Brentford, which raised eyebrows behind the scenes at St Mary's.
In it, he claimed he had compromised the methods that made him a success at his previous club Luton since joining Southampton.
But after CEO Martin Semmens admitted nobody enjoyed his interview at a fan forum at St Mary's on Tuesday, Jones insisted he was taking responsibility for Southampton's poor run, which has seen them lose six out of the last seven Premier League games.
