Southampton 1-0 Manchester City: Che Adams' brilliant long-range lob - his first EVER Saints goal after 30 matches - condemns Pep Guardiola's side to their NINTH Premier League defeat this season

Manchester City suffered their third consecutive away Premier League defeat after falling to a surprise loss at Southampton courtesy of an excellent Che Adams strike.

In his 25th Premier League game for the Saints, Adams opened the scoring in the 16th minute with an opportunistic long range strike that proved enough to grab all three points.

City piled on the pressure in the second half in search of an equaliser but were foiled by impressive keeping from Saints stopper Alex McCarthy, while also being guilty of poor finishing.
