Son Heung-Min wins International Asian Player of the Year as Tottenham star sees off competition from Aaron Mooy and Shinji Kagawa

Tottenham forward Son Heung-Min has won the International Asian Player of the Year award.

The South Korean finished at the top of a three-man shortlist reserved for Asians who play overseas.

He finished ahead of Huddersfield's Australian midfielder Aaron Mooy and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa from Japan.

The 25-year-old Son helped Tottenham finish second in the Premier League last season.
