Decorated ex-Socceroos midfielder Craig Foster has explained why Tottenham is the ideal club Premier League club for Ange Postecoglou - and why not playing in the UEFA Champions League next season could work in the Aussie's favour.
Postecoglou, 57, has agreed to become Spurs' new boss on a three-year deal, with just the formalities of his appointment left to complete.
It comes after 'Aussie Ange' recently snared an impressive treble at Celtic, winning the Scottish Premiership, League Cup and FA Cup.
Foster - who in a 2006 SBS interview infamously called for Postecoglou to step aside as coach of the Australian under-20s youth team after failing to qualify for the under-20s World Cup - is on a very different page 17 years later.
