Sky Sports 'will allow customers to freeze their subscriptions at no extra cost' with a host of events postponed after coronavirus shutdown

Sky Sports will offer their customers a chance to freeze their monthly subscriptions after the coronavirus brought the world of sport to a halt.

Viewers won't be charged if they opt to pause their subscriptions after a host of major events were wiped out, including the Premier League and the start of the F1 season, with doubt lingering over upcoming cricket fixtures.

And the broadcaster has assured sports fans that they will be allowed to stop the monthly payments for the time being without being charged extra.

A Sky Sports statement said: 'While we expect that many of the recently postponed sports events will eventually go ahead, if you wish to pause your sports subscription in the meantime you will not be charged a fee to do so or be held to any notice period.
