Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team 'will get to play Football Manager with the biggest club in the country' when they come in at Manchester United, according to Mike Keegan on Mail Sport's It's All Kicking Off podcast.

British petrochemicals billionaire Ratcliffe, a lifelong United fan, is set to pay £1.4billion for a 25 per cent stake in the club from the Glazer family.

The head of INEOS is expected to take over control of the football side at Old Trafford with a mission to reverse a decade-long decline on the pitch.

Asked by Chris Sutton if he expected the Glazers will still want a say on football matters, Keegan said: 'It is a lot of money to pay if you're not getting those guarantees and it's basically £1.
