Liverpool have been heavily criticised for becoming the latest Premier League club furlough members of non-playing staff during the coronavirus pandemic.
Those affected will receive 80% of their salary through the government's job retention scheme with the club making up the remaining 20%.
But the Reds, who made a huge £42million pre-tax profit last year as well as announcing a turnover increase of £533million last month, have been slammed for their decision with Piers Morgan and Jamie Carragher leading the charge.
Writing on Twitter, the Good Morning Britain host said the club should be ashamed: 'Shameful.
