Sean Dyche reveals Burnley have a 'couple' of coronavirus cases in their camp ahead of FA Cup third-round tie with MK Dons as he calls for Premier League footballers to be vaccinated

Sean Dyche wants Premier League footballers vaccinated as Burnley became the latest club to return cases of coronavirus.

Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie with MK Dons is set to go ahead but the Burnley manager believes money can be saved by inoculating players.

'Vaccination is the way forward for football,' Dyche said. 'I appreciate some people will say "why should footballers get vaccinated". But 20 Premier League clubs with say 100 people vaccinated, the payback to the NHS would be considerable.

'If you vaccinate, you don't need to keep testing and that money could be used for a much-better cause while football would stay a competitive industry rather than one that might end up skewed because of players missing games.
