Sam Allardyce sting is 'embarrassing' but may not result in the end of his England reign, says former FA chief Adrian Bevington

Former FA executive Adrian Bevington said the situation surrounding Sam Allardyce is 'embarrassing for everybody concerned' but does not think the England manager will lose his job.

Allardyce's position as manager of the Three Lions is in serious doubt after he used his new position to negotiate a £400,000 deal with businessmen and offered them advice on how to get around Football Association transfer rules.

Bevington said he experienced a similar situation with Sven-Goran Eriksson and envisages a 'very difficult few weeks' for the FA.
