The introduction of safe-standing areas at Premier League grounds has moved a step closer following positive talks between the clubs.
A meeting held in London on Thursday saw the league's clubs discuss safe standing for the first time since all-seater grounds were made compulsory in 1994, in response the Hillsborough disaster five-years previously.
With Scottish champions Celtic having introduced a standing area, featuring rail-seating, at their home ground for the start of this season, talks to introduce such areas to Premier League grounds went well.
Premier League bosses are now expected to examine the expected safety, technical and legislative issues surrounding the introduction of safe standing, before resuming talks.
