Sadio Mane has insisted Liverpool 'feel more ready' for the new Premier League season after resting properly on the longest holiday since he joined the club five years ago.
The Senegalese forward admitted that last campaign, which saw Mane and Liverpool struggle for form as Jurgen Klopp's side finished third in the Premier League, 17 points behind champions Manchester City, was the worst of his career.
But Mane told the Liverpool website that he and his team-mates feel refreshed and rejuvenated after an extended summer break.
He said: 'It's always important as a player to have a break because I can say since I came to Liverpool this was the first time I have had four weeks or more of holiday, so that sometimes helps a lot.
