Roy Hodgson hit out at ‘disrespectful’ suggestions that he is affected by speculation about his future after guiding Crystal Palace to a much-needed win.
The Palace manager went into this game on the back of an eight-game winless run but insisted he pays no attention to ‘outside noise’.
‘I tell you what I really think,’ Hodgson said. ‘I’m 76. I’ve been working for 47 years. I’ve got a CBE for my services to football. I’ve got a CV which is incredible.
‘So I’m afraid my answer to you is that makes no difference or is of any interest to me at all and to suggest it should is disrespectful.
