Roy Hodgson is on course to stay at Crystal Palace for another season, with the club ready to handing the veteran coach a 12-month deal.
The 75-year-old will hold talks with chairman Steve Parish in the coming days about the Eagles’ plans for next season.
Hodgson has steered Palace to Premier League safety since replacing Patrick Vieira on an interim basis with a brilliant run of five wins in eight victories.
Palace initially viewed Hodgson’s return to south London as a stop gap before appointing a permanent head coach ahead of next season.
