Roma have reportedly made a new bid to Manchester United for the services of Chris Smalling, with a loan deal again favoured by the Serie A club.
Centre back Smalling has impressed for Roma, making 32 appearances in all competitions this season, but is set to return to Old Trafford after Serie A concludes on August 2.
As a result, Roma are looking at an option to take the 30-year-old for another year on loan with an option-to-buy for £13m (€15m) at the end of next season, according to journalist Nicolo Schira as reported by Football Italia.
