Rio Ferdinand insists Mo Salah will 'go down as one of the best to play in the Premier League' after Liverpool star surpassed last season's overall goal tally with cool finish to send Reds on their way to much-needed win over RB Leipzig

Rio Ferdinand was full of praise for Liverpool's Mohamed Salah after the forward surpassed his goal tally of last season against RB Leipzig.

The Egyptian star scored 23 goals in all competitions - 48 games - as Liverpool ran away with the Premier League title, but his composed finish in the Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday was his 24th in 34 matches this campaign.

Salah's 53rd-minute strike sent Jurgen Klopp's side on their way to a much-needed 2-0 first-leg victory in Budapest, and former Manchester United defender Ferdinand believes Salah will go down as one of the greatest scorers in Premier League history.
