Real Salt Lake and Utah Royals owner Dell Loy Hansen has taken a leave of absence as MLS and the NWSL investigate a series of alleged racist comments.
Hansen made headlines on Thursday when he slammed his own players for skipping a scheduled match in protest of a police shooting in Wisconsin last weekend.
The protest was part of a larger series of games that were postponed across American sports, with several cancellations in MLS, MLB, the NBA and WNBA.
