Ragnar Klavan has admitted he thought it was a joke when he was first told Liverpool had an interest in signing him this summer.
And the tough-tackling Estonian centre-half only believed he could end up at Anfield when Reds boss Jurgen Klopp sent him a selfie to confirm the news.
Klavan swapped FC Augsburg for a move to the Premier League, signing a three-year deal on Merseyside for a fee of £4.2million. But before that was all completed, the 30-year-old presumed an actual message from Klopp was actually a friend trying to have a laugh at his expense.
