QPR 2-1 Wigan: Leon Balogun strike keeps Michael Beale's side top of the Championship in first home outing since Rangers boss turned down move to Wolves

Goals in the first-half gave Michael Beale a victory in his first game at Loftus Road since he was linked with a move to the Premier League.

Sam Field opened the scoring for QPR with a goal early on in the first-half following a Stefan Johansen corner. Wigan responded well to going behind and scored just ten minutes later with a Nathan Broadhead strike.

However, just two minutes after Wigan equalised, QPR bounced back and Leon Balogun scored what turned out to be the game's winner.
