Raul Jimenez may not play for Wolves again until next season, with the club determined to adopt a prudent approach to their star striker's return.
The Mexican fractured his skull during the 2-1 win at Arsenal on November 29 but is making good progress.
He returned to training with team-mates last month, although he is not participating in contact sessions.
Jimenez must have further assessments before being cleared to head the ball and take part in full sessions.
Wolves face Fulham on Friday night with Nuno admitting the club's ill luck with injuries, coupled with their lack of preparation time for this season, had left him unable to implement all the changes he had planned this term.
