Premier League's Project Restart plans hit ANOTHER stumbling block as it's revealed they 'may need to apply for UEFA extension' before clubs are in a position to vote on an agreement

Project Restart plans have hit yet another bump in the road after it was revealed the Premier League may have to 'apply to UEFA for an extension on their May 25 deadline' before clubs are ready to vote.

UEFA previously stated that a decision on the outcome of the 2019-20 season must be agreed before May 25, but as of yet the English top-flight have been at an impasse over what to do next.

While France have cancelled their season and Germany plough on with their first set of matches this weekend, there has been no news in England - and The Telegraph report that a decision is unlikely to come before the deadline.
