Only two Premier League players or staff provided positive samples in last week's twice-weekly coronavirus testing, the league has announced.
The league said 2,915 players and staff were tested between Monday, February 8 and Sunday, February 14.
The league recorded seven positive tests in the last round of results so the latest figures are again a boost to the league, which enhanced its Covid-19 protocols in early January.
New rules included tougher measures on hugs and high fives, with Premier League officials holding calls with captains, managers and key staff – thought to be safety officers - over the new protocols, the reasoning behind them and the potential impact that repeated non-compliance could have.
