Premier League players can once again eat in club canteens and mix freely after training sessions as strict Covid guidelines are lifted

Premier League players can eat together at their training grounds again after strict coronavirus curbs banning the use of canteens were lifted.

Clubs felt that with players tested at least twice a week and always following stringent protocols, preventing them from taking meals together was both unnecessary and counter-productive.

Sportsmail understands that after the matter was raised with the governing body last month, the rule has now been relaxed, meaning players can mix more freely after finishing their sessions.
