The Premier League have confirmed that one person has returned a positive coronavirus result from the 13th and latest round of testing.
There were 2,071 players and staff tested between July 6 and July 12 as part of the rigorous processes introduced as part of Project Restart to allow the resumption of Premier League football.
In the previous round of testing between June 29 and July 5, there had been 1,973 tests and no positive results.
A statement said: 'The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday July 6 and Sunday July 12, 2,071 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19.
