Premier League confirm EIGHT new positive coronavirus cases among players and staff over the past week... with Burnley's Phil Bardsley and Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew among those affected

The Premier League has confirmed that eight players and members of club staff have tested positive for coronavirus over the past week.

England's top-flight had 1,575 members tested between Monday October 12 and Sunday October 18. Monday's figure is up from the five players and staff who tested positive the previous week.

Those eight players or club staff must isolate for a period of 10 days, meaning they will not be allowed to take part in match preparations.
