Every Premier League club will soon receive a multi-million pound payment which was due to be paid at the end of the season, according to The Times.
In a bid to stave off the financial crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, an agreement has reportedly been made will which see clubs get some of the money reserved for merit payments.
Top-flight sides are normally awarded a fixed amount based on their final position in the league table at the end of the season.
Clubs will be given some of the merit payment money in a bid to solve cash flow issues
However, The Times claim that a proportion of this cash will be advanced to clubs early as they look to combat cash flow problems.
