Premier League chiefs descend on London hotel for crucial meeting with 'Big Six' set to back toxic proposal to help them land bigger slice of the international broadcast rights revenue

Premier League club executives have arrived in London for the meeting that is set to shape the future of football in England.

On the table is a proposal to radically shake up the distribution of international television rights money, being driven by the top flight's 'Big Six'.

Manchester United, City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal are all pushing for 35 per cent of the overseas broadcast rights to be handed out based on final placing in the table.

Surprisingly, the big six reportedly have support for the idea from other clubs, and all 20 teams descended on the Marriot Hotel in Mayfair to discuss the most significant proposal since the league's inception in 1992.
