Premier League big six to make a 'third attempt at pushing through rule for five substitutions' for the rest of the season in a meeting later this week with Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola 'leading the calls'

The Premier League's 'big-six' will reportedly make a third attempt at bringing in five substitutions this season.

Premier League clubs held votes in August and again in September after proposals to extend the extra substitution rules into the current campaign.

Both votes were rejected by 11 votes to nine, well short of the 14-club majority required.

Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola have both been keen on bringing back five substitutions
However, other such as Chris Wilder have said they don't want the rule to be reintroduced
Gordon Taylor has urged the Premier League to immediately address its injury crisis

Clubs are reportedly growing increasingly angry at Premier League bosses for not pushing strongly for the move back to the five substitution rule which had been implemented at the end of last season.
