Mathias Pogba, the brother of Manchester United star Paul, has been snubbed by a German third division side for carrying too much weight.
The 27-year-old striker recently took in a trial with KFC Uerdingen.
He is on the lookout for a new club after severing ties with Dutch outfit Sparta Rotterdam in 2017.
The former Wrexham, Crewe, Crawly and Partick Thistle frontman has been a free agent since then, with a lack of playing duties having allowed him to join sibling Pogba in toasting World Cup success over the summer.
He had hoped to kick-start his own career after taking in that triumph, but has been unable to find a team willing to take a chance on him.
