Philippe Coutinho left 'outraged' with Daniel Levy after the Spurs chief 'tried to reduce the price of signing him AFTER a deal had been agreed' with Barcelona last summer

Philippe Coutinho has been left to feel 'outraged' by Daniel Levy after the Tottenham chief pulled the plug on a proposed switch to north London last summer.

The 27-year-old has struggled to carry out the performances that lead to Barcelona shelling out £145million for the Brazilian in January 2018, with the former Liverpool star desiring a return to England.

According to Sport, Spurs had expressed a strong interest in securing the services of Coutinho, with a move for Giovanni Lo Celso looking unlikely and Levy baulking at Sporting's asking price for Bruno Fernandes.
