Yobe Desert Stars’ Philip Auta has stressed that they will continue to fight on until the end of the season to see if this will be enough to save them from the relegation zone in spite of their latest home draw against Delta Force.
The Damaturu side was expected to beat the Asaba-based team who just occupied the space of Kada City in the top-flight but they were unable to muster a serious challenge in a dull goalless draw under a very scorching Sunday heat at the August 27th Stadium.
Auta who is Yobe Stars leading scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League with five goals opined that they must concentrate on their next game with Abia Warriors in Umuahia on Sunday with a view to picking at least a point and that they won’t be distracted in their quest to ensure that they escape the drop zone at the end of the season.
