Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel believes he would make a good candidate for the club's new director of football role.
The Danish ex-goalkeeper, who played 398 times for the Old Trafford club, said he would spent the Christmas and New Year period considering whether to apply.
United are expected to create a director of football role for the first time to assist the club's manager with player recruitment.
