Paul Ince has admitted he's shocked to have been linked with the manager's job at former club Middlesbrough, but is frustrated not to have received more offers in recent years.
The former Manchester United midfielder has been out of management since his ill-fated spell in charge of Blackpool, which ended in 2014, but was listed amongst the favourites to replace the sacked Aitor Karanka by a number of bookmakers on Tuesday.
Ince insisted he was surprised to be linked with the role and had not been contacted by Steve Gibson, but admitted if he were to return to management, it would be to work under a someone like the Middlesbrough chairman.
